Please, pray for Pope Benedict XVI.

I just saw yet another discussion of lawyers (!) on facebook responding to a newspaper article, discussing the possibility and legality of Pope Benedict's arrest, should he visit England in September. Yesterday an ash cloud from  Iceland on his birthday and then Hiob's messages like that. Honestly, what has the world come to. How blessed we are that Christ is risen, and will put all wrong right without the need of bad weather or an unholy fight, as He always shines simply with the diamond sharp rays into the heart of any matter with His Infinite light - by day and by night. And fortunately, He knows a real heavenly from a false worldly God's army knight.

So, there is nothing to worry about, and I am sure Pope Benedict has a blessed sleep that is free of guilt as that is not a Catholic concept as we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness, and that is, why true Catholics sleep ever so deep.

About St Mary Magdalene

For centuries, it has been the custom of many Christians to share dyed and painted eggs, particularly on Easter Sunday. The eggs represent new life, and Christ bursting forth from the tomb. Among Eastern Orthodox Christians (including Bulgarian, Greek, Lebanese, Macedonian, Russian, Romanian, Serbian and Ukrainian) this sharing is accompanied by the proclamation "Christ is risen!" (in Greek "Christos anesti") and the response "Truly He is risen!"(in Greek - "Alithos anesti").
One tradition concerning Mary Magdalene says that following the death and resurrection of Jesus, she used her position to gain an invitation to a banquet given by Emperor Tiberius. When she met him, she held a plain egg in her hand and exclaimed "Christ is risen!" Caesar laughed, and said that Christ rising from the dead was as likely as the egg in her hand turning red while she held it. Before he finished speaking, the egg in her hand turned a bright red, and she continued proclaiming the Gospel to the entire imperial house.

Consistently in the four Gospels, Mary Magdalene seems to be distinguished from other women named Mary by adding "Magdalene" (η Μαγδαληνή) to her name. Traditionally, this has been interpreted to mean that she was from Magdala, a town thought to have been on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. Luke 8:2 says that she was actually "called Magdalene." In Aramaic, "magdala" means "tower" or "elevated, great, magnificent".
In the Gospel of John, Mary Magdalene is also referred to simply as "Mary" at least twice. Gnostic writings use either Mary or Mary Magdalene, or even just Magdalene.
Mary Magdalene's given name Μαρία (Maria) is usually regarded as a Latin form of Μαριὰμ (Mariam), which is the Greek variant used in Septuagint for Miriam, the Hebrew name for Moses' sister. The name had become very popular during Jesus' time due to its connections to the ruling Hasmonean and Herodian dynasties.

Mary Magdalene is referred to in early Christian writings as "the apostle to the apostles." as His wife Mary was also a special disciple of Jesus who lived with his teachings and so could lead by example in what He taught her and tried out on her. Records have been withheld both in antiquity and in modern times regarding the marriage and the still-born children of Jesus and Mary Magdala, and it is interesting that it is treated as a fact from the beginning by Jews and later also by Muslims but it is only a matter of time anyway of them reemerging just like the mislaid documents proving the purposeful character assassination of the many Templar Knights.
Mary Magdalene is considered by the Catholic Church, as well as the Eastern Orthodox, and Anglican churches to be a saint, with a feast day of July 22. She is also commemorated by the Lutheran Church with a festival on the same day. The Eastern Orthodox churches also commemorate her on the Sunday of the Myrrhbearers which is the second Sunday after Pascha (Easter).

The Eastern Orthodox Church maintains that Mary Magdalene had been a virtuous woman all her life, even before her conversion. They have never celebrated her as a penitent. This view finds expression both in her written life (βίος or vita) and in the liturgical service in her honor that is included in the Menaion and performed on her annual feast-day. There is a tradition that Mary Magdalene led so chaste a life that the devil thought she might be the one who was to bear Christ into the world, and for that reason he sent the seven demons to trouble her.
Mary Magdalene is honored as one of the first witnesses of the Resurrection of Jesus, and received a special commission from him to tell the Apostles of his resurrection.[Jn 20:11–18] She is often depicted on icons bearing a vessel of ointment, not because of the anointing by the "sinful woman", but because she was among those women who brought ointments to the tomb of Jesus. For this reason, she is called a Myrrhbearer.

According to Eastern traditions, she retired to Ephesus and there she died. (Her relics were transferred to Constantinople in 886 and are there preserved.

Gospel of Philip, dating from the 2nd or 3rd century, survives in part among the texts found in Nag Hammadi in 1945. In a manner very similar to John 19:25-26, the Gospel of Philip presents Mary Magdalene among Jesus' female entourage, adding that she was his companion (koinônos):
There were three who always walked with the Lord: Mary, his mother, and her sister, and Magdalene, the one who was called his companion. His sister, his mother and his companion were each a Mary.

Body:	We are all called to share all our spiritual gifts for free, as Jesus has commanded us. We must not charge membership fees either, and if those, who own property shared it as it once was the custom, at least for some faithful wealthy followers of Christ, we would have still free or again free healthcare and education and help each other in any way we need each other's help. I must say in my local church and community it works. So-called financial giants in the world would have never grown so rich, if more would live like Christ commanded us to.  At the end of the day the root of all evil comes down to lust for power and to greed, nothing else. It is very simple and the sandcastles that are right now tumbling down worldwide are the proof of Christ's predictions. The devil had his time and has left the Egyptian golden cow and her illegitimate golden calves to dwell in the sand from what is left of their once golden empire. Only if we surrender our talents and gifts to God's work only, will we be able to manifest truly Christ's kingdom in this world. It was already lived by many in the early church - just think of the monks, who dedicated their whole lives for beautifully writing copies of books only to redistribute them freely, and the free hospitals and centres of healing and of education. Corruption has settled into too many bones of too many institutions and greed has even desecrated the sacraments in some churches that have been infiltrated by those with evil intent, who tried with their heresies and atheism and paganism and whatever secret society background to give the one holy Catholic and apostolic church a bad name from the inside and from outside on all levels of the hierarchy.  We as Catholics are asked to stand up for the Holy Eucharist that is in the greatest danger of being betrayed once again and with that Christ is being made the victim again as the priest and in the Holy Eucharistic feast. We can only ever lead personally by example and pray that those, who stray from Jesus' path one day will see that He is the way, the truth and the life.  But we must also stand firm up, when we encounter evildoing and see that the commandments are being twisted. Yes, Christ is indeed forgiving towards those, who truly repent, and those, who do, know the love of God as nothing is more overwhelming than to fear the tears of God, who had to endure His own Son's life being taken because He loved us man so much that He wanted to set an example - to teach man to make always the very best of choices for the highest good of His creation and for the sake of the one holy nation as that is, what He sent us to earth for - to live the heavenly kingdom here on earth, and transform the hell that we ourselves create with all our wrong choices in life that are contrary to God's commandments, from our own kitchen hearth. We are not born with a right to some self-defined happiness - our happiness is rooted in our wholeness in God, in serving God on Jesus' path by giving up our own selfish ways to serve our community and our faithful neighbour in many a tireless extra-mile to nurture each other's hearts and souls with all the gifts we have freely at our disposal. Just like Christ went out of His way to reach one single soul that was longing for the reunion with God but who did not know how to until Jesus made him see the light. And it is mostly ever in very small almost invisible steps that we find true happiness and moments of bliss that last forever as nobody can take them away from us, and they sustain us in our hard times and times of despair. God never leaves us to our own devices and if we feel that way, then it is only because He wants us to grow beyond our limitations and we just have not listened carefully enough to His voice as we might not like the implications of what He suggests to us - only God and Jesus see the whole picture, and we are only part of a miraculous puzzle that always fits beautifully and miraculously, if we surrender our lives and our purposes totally to God. Share freely, what you have received freely - share your gifts, your smile, your song, your cake, your prayer - whatever God gave you to lead another soul and yourself to shine in His infinite light. And if in doubt, ask yourself - what would Jesus do? May the Infinite Light of Christ shine brightly upon you, keep and protect you from all evil, harm and anxiety and fill your very heart and soul with Jesus' truth and life and light as He really is the way. Just trust, and surrender all your doubts - and simply: BELIEVE! Christ is risen. Alleluia. Happy Easter, God bless you, Mother Eliora
